Elections

Final Results have been announced by the Montgomery County Clerk for the Caney City Council races.

In Ward 1, Jeff Culver won the council race after announcing a write-in candidacy on the eve of the Nov. 5 general election.  Culver received 40 total votes to claim the council seat.

In ward 2, incumbent councilor Kenith Butts won re-election in an unopposed race.

In Ward 3, Elizabeth Burch defeated incumbent Debbie Wood by nine votes.  Burch received 89 votes compared to Wood's 80 votes.

In Ward 4, Lisa Gorby won the council seat by write-in votes.  Gorby received five votes - the most of any write-in candidates.
